Sorry, I can't tell you how to actually mount the LEDs or any other specific info,
but I *can* give you a major headstart by offering you this:

Keyboard of the Month, June '99

The following story is excerpted from the 411 section of Keyboard, May '99.
Check 411 every month for the latest personality profiles, new gear updates, and essential technique tips.

This month we'd like to spotlight a modification by Kevin Lightner -- synth tech of the stars. It's a lit-wheeled Minimoog that, according to Kevin, "looks even cooler in person. It's one of the nicest playing and sounding Minis around. It has a metal front panel (versus vinyl), new oscillator boards, many mods for reliability, and a rebuilt key action. The synth's owner is Jamie Muhoberac, who's played with Seal, the B-52s, Alanis Morissette, Trevor Horn, etc." Kevin says he's also considered doing a version with a mod wheel that flashes at the rate of the mod signal. About Lightner . . . he's the man behind many of the custom rigs at Hans Zimmer's Media Ventures, featured in our April '99 issue. Additionally, he restored some of the instruments in the London Synth Museum, and he's worked with artists such as Motley Crue, Julian Lennon, Jon Hassell, and Kiss, plus film composers Hans Zimmer, Mark Isham, David Newman, James Newton Howard, Mark Mothersbaugh, and many others.
